CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR A facial PEEL

General Health

A chemical exfoliation or peel treatment causes a controlled wound to the skin. A healthy body will heal faster and with less chance of side effects. If you have a comprised immune system from a cold, disease, medication, etc., it will take longer for the skin to heal. If you have a weakened immune system, do not do a chemical peel.

LIFESTYLE

Will your schedule allow for “downtime"? The skin may slough, be red, sensitive to products, experience accelerated breakouts, etc. While the skin is healing, sun exposure needs to be avoided.
