the faqs about ellebana henna brow tinting

ABOUT ELLEBANA HENNA

Henna is derived from the henna plant and tree. It COATS the brow hair vs. penetrating the brow hair leaving a fuller, deeply colored brow. The henna tint contains proteins, vitamin complex and anti-oxidants to help strengthen and restore hair growth and can help improve the natural condition of brow hair.

HOW LONG DOES THE HENNA TINT STAIN THE SKIN?

Our skin regenerates daily, so it is always difficult to say how long a henna skin stain is going to last on a certain skin type in the brow area as our skin varies from individual. Some clients have oily skin and some clients have dry skin and these conditions can affect the longevity of the skin stain. We say on average anywhere from 2-5 days, but it could be longer. This is not a tattoo or microblading treatment, this is a temporary tint.

How Long does the henna tint coat the hairs

Henna tint can coat the hairs for up to 6 weeks.

How often do I need to come back to get re-tinted?

We recommend every 4-8 weeks, and with continued treatment you will notice an increase in brown fullness and healthier brows.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR HENNA?

If you have thinning, sparse brows; henna is going to be a great treatment for you because it can help show you the potential your brows have and work to improve the brow condition.

How many colors do you have for Henna Tinting?

We have 7 colors, which are all customizable and mixable and allows us a large range of options to create the right color for you.

how a spray tan can change the color of the henna tint?

If there is spray tan in the skin cells then there is a chance it will throw a yellow or green tone on the skin around the brow hairs. It is always best if clients can avoid spray tan for two weeks before having brow henna applied.

Can a person have an allergy to Henna Tint?

Henna is considered a hypoallergenic product because of its natural origin, a henna allergy is extremely rare, but still it subsists. Some people can have an allergy to PPD, P-Aminophenol, Phenylenediamine or Diamino-phenoxyethanol, and some people can have sensitivities to these ingredients. A small amount of PPD is in the henna tint. Their purpose is to give the henna a faster processing time, neutralize the warmth and give a longer lasting result. Without these ingredients they will not process fast enough and there would be no point in having this as a beauty treatment in a salon. The service would take too long and the results would not be sufficient.
